When you go to a coffee shop and place your order, they usually ask if you would like to save room for cream. In my opinion, the answer should be yes, literally and figuratively. :) The cream is the good stuff. Sometimes our days can be packed with things we need to do, but we need to always save room for the things we love and enjoy! We need to save room for the good stuff. What do you delight in? What brings you joy? Our lives can be so busy that we need to remember to take a moment, call up a friend to share a cup of coffee, or whatever flips your pancake! Here's just a reminder that we all are given the save amount of hours each day and we need to be intentional on how we fill them. Schedule a time each week for something you truly enjoy doing!

Outfit: Blanket Scarf
Yesterdays outfit // I know I'm a little late hopping on the blanket scarf bandwagon, but better late than never, right? It's so warm and cozy I didn't even bother wearing a jacket! I had lunch yesterday with one of my best friends who was passing through town on her way back home. And I loved catching up with her even if it was only for a hour and a half. I'm beginning to cherish all of the great friendships I have made. This particular friend I used to see for 5 weeks each year at summer camp. But this year, an awesome opportunity has popped up for her and I don't blame her for taking it but it is going to be hard for me not having her by my side at camp whether it's napping together or braiding each other's hair. We have planned ways for us to meet up in the future and we plan to keep in touch as much as possible. It makes me savor all of the time we have together.

Catching Up
Well, the holidays are over and, sadly, school has officially started back. It actually started last week for me, but since that week didn't go so well I am restarting it this week! I'm really missing the holiday parties and wearing my favorite plaid Christmas skirt. (this one) I seriously can't ever get enough wear out of it. When is it too late/too early to wear plaid? I also miss wearing sparkly things and red lipstick. Who says you can't incorporate it into your every day wear? *cough* blog post coming *cough*
With my homeschool tennis team starting back up I am really craving some sunshine and warm weather. Seriously. After Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's, I am so ready for warm weather. Anyone with me? At least there is Downton Abbey to look forward to.
Just thought I'd let you know where I've been and what I've been up to!

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!
Looking back on this year I can't even believe how much has happened, and it all flew by so fast! I am very excited for 2015, the friendships waiting to be made, and the adventures ready to be explored. I hope you all had a wonderful year and a happy New Years Eve!
My New Years Eve was very casual, my grandparents came over for dinner prepared by my dad, who is a fabulous chef. We shot a few fireworks, and then sat and talked around the fireplace. My family doesn't really have a tradition for New Years Day what do you do to celebrate? I would love to hear! After all of the crazy Christmas activities, I think we all enjoyed taking a moment and catching up.
