//Striped Top  (under $20!)/Suede Skirt  (similar linked)/Lace up flats /Sunglasses (similar linked)/Handbag //

Can you believe September is already coming to a close?(and the fact that it is still a regular 90 degrees outside? lol) Lately I have been loving striped shirts, like, I probably wear one every day of the week #guilty. I have also been loving  suede skirts, which, to be honest, took me a while to get used to. But now, I am obsessed! Plus there are a bajillion ways to wear it, just take a peek at Pinterest, haha, where I find most of my outfit inspiration.

P.S. How sassy are these sunglasses?!

Easy Pumpkin Bread Recipe

With yesterday being the official first day of fall, I thought I should share a classic fall recipe today! This pumpkin bread has been in the family for a long time and is the only one I've ever eaten. It is super easy and never fails to put me in the fall spirit!

 I hope you enjoy!
4 1/2 C. Sugar
1 1/2 C. Vegetable oil or melted butter
6 Eggs
2 tsp. Nutmeg
2 tsp. Cinnamon
1 TB. Salt
3 C. Canned pumpkin
1 1/2 tsp. Baking soda
3/4 tsp. Baking powder
4 1/2 C. Flour

Combine first 7 ingredients and beat for one minute. In a separate bowl stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Add dry mixture to wet mixture and stir until well-combined. Pour batter into greased loaf pans or muffin tins. Bake at 325 degrees for 50-60 minutes. (Decrease baking time for muffins and mini loaves) Test for doneness and cool for 5 minutes. Top off with a little powdered sugar if you like and tada! It is finished! Wrap completely cooled products in plastic wrap or bread bags for storage.

Outfit: Feeling Fall

//Plaid Top (on sale now for $15! I'm wearing a size Small) /Flying Monkey Jeans- just got these and love them! And they are under $100! I got them from Dsquared (for the locals) but you can order them from Flying Monkey's website /Dolce Vita Booties (mine are old, similar linked) /Hobo Crossbody (old, have gotten so much wear out of it! Similar & less expensive here / Monogrammed Necklace //

Hey y'all! Man, I am so excited for fall! The weather has finally cooled off and it feels fantastic! I have pulled out my favorite fall candle (this one!) and have been drinking my chai tea everyday. Needless to say, it was about time for a fall outfit to appear on the blog. This top is a great transitioning piece too because it is a thin material and is very flowy plus I think the side slits are pretty cool. It's great for Mississippi's on/off weather temps. But it will for sure be great for the cooler months, just throw on a jacket or fur vest. Plus, you guys, this top is only $15.

Instagram Lately

Hey guys! Coming 'atcha with another instagram lately! Sorry it's been a while since I've posted, all of a sudden I was really sick yesterday but I am feeling a ton better and can't wait to shoot some new outfits for the blog!
//These precious bow flats are from Forever 21. *shock!* I picked them up while I was in Chicago and you would never believe they were under $30! Order them here ! Also, how cute are these coasters? My friend made them for me as a birthday gift, she is so creative!

//Currently reading The Royal We . It took me a while to get into it but now I am racing to finish it! I wish there were more hours in the day for me to sit and read. After I finish this, I can't wait to start Wild and then see the movie! What are some other good book recommendations?

//ATTENTION: I have found the perfect fall bootie! These are perfectly casual and comfortable and I am almost wishing for cold weather so I can wear them! Unfortunately, I have failed to find them online, but here is a similar one (same brand) and here .

//As I was mentioning in my instagram post, I switched out my closet and pulled all of my sweaters and pants out from under my bed the other day. When I did that I found some things I had forgotten about like this top I bought from Old Navy about 3 years ago. I also found these sassy metallic gold Alice + Olivia shorts that I never know what to wear with. I added leopard flats and voila! A new outfit!

Outfit: Transitioning

//Dress (wearing size 6)/ Sandals /Similar clutch /Similar necklace //

Y'all. Chicago has changed me. I went into Topshop for the first time and had a ball! This outfit is a little out of my comfort zone but I am digging it! I like the neutrals (snake skin is a neutral, right?) and soft edginess, not to mention this dress is super comfortable. Swing dresses are my new obsession and they are a great transition piece. How do you transition your wardrobe for the cooler months ahead?
